CATHERINE CARROLL
Catherine is a co-owner of Active Plus, having managed and worked in the gym since 2013. Dedicated to the fitness and long term health of all her clients she takes a realistic approach to helping them reach their goals. Results driven, Catherine provides an individualized and holistic plan for each and every one of her clients, dealing with all levels of fitness, through a combination of exercise and nutrition.
Having worked in the financial services industry and restaurant business, a stay at home mum to three children, Catherine understands the day to day demands on her clients time.
PAUL DEVINE
Paul is a co-owner of Active Plus. Formerly an accountant, Paul made the switch from finance to fitness in 2016. Prior to becoming a personal trainer in Active Plus, Paul was a keen member, so he knows what it's like to be on the receiving end of a tough session.
Paul has a background in rugby, tennis and more recently powerlifting. He is an NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Expert but is just as comfortable helping those with fat loss or body composition goals.
AISLING MITCHELL LEES
Having started in the fitness industry at 18, Aisling has gained extensive experience working in both New Zealand and Ireland. Taking a few years out to have her daughter, Aisling understands the struggle in getting the balance between good nutrition and exercise, family time and setting her daughter a good example.
Aisling is dedicated on helping her clients hit their targets and places a strong emphasis on increasing the health and well being of her clients through guidance on nutrition and exercise.
Aisling has competed in powerlifting competitions and plans to compete again.
Neil mccarthy
A long time trainer in Active Plus, Neil started his fitness journey in martial arts. Transitioning from kickboxing to Olympic wrestling (and everything in between), he has medalled in the latter at both the Irish and Ulster Opens. An unquenchable interest in everything physical developed from there, which prompted Neil to make a career out of what he loved to do. From competing in a natural men's physique show on stage, to teaching handstands to members on the gym floor - he is both equally adept at handling body composition/fat loss goals of clients, as well as improving athletic attributes such as speed, strength and mobility. A big proponent of practicing what you preach - Neil consistently challenges himself to improve both physically and mentally, and wants to help you to do the same.
SANTA
Santa (originally from Latvia, living in Ireland for the past 20 years) is a Professional Dancer & Choreographer. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education and Training almost 10 years ago. She retrained as a Personal Trainer, Fitness Group Instructor and Zumba Instructor 3 years ago. In addition to her Active Plus group classes, Santa is available for 1-on-1 Dance Lessons and Small Group Choreography classes.
One of her favourite mottos is “I physically exhaust you but mentally recharge you!”
